The mail monitoring system “MailMon” is perfect for mailboxes that are far away from the house. The MailMon detects when mail is placed in the mailbox. The user receives a notification via an audible beep and a blinking light.
The MailMon system is comprised of two devices: MailMon-In and MailMon-out. The MailMon-In device is plugged into a regular power outlet inside of the house. When mail arrives, MailMon-In will beep and blink to indicate that it’s time to check the mail.
The MailMon-Out device resides inside of the mailbox. Using motion sensing, MailMon-Out senses when mail arrives. Using a unique RF network, MailMon-Out sends a notification to MailMon-In that mail has arrived. MailMon-Out is battery powered – it uses 3 AAA batteries. Battery life is 6 to 8 months. The MailMon system is available in a long-range version (a working range of ÂĽ mile). A short-range version with a range of 300 feet.
